Cognitive Radio is an enabling technology for efficient and flexible spectrum
usage. In the first phase of FP7 the research topic "Cognitive Radio" has been
successfully established as a new key research area. With the regulatory
scenarios after the World Radio Conference 2007 both new ambitious
approaches to cognitive radio as well as proof-of-concept reference
implementations are needed to convince regulators and market players. The
setup of the workshop will be FP7 projects on Cognitive Radio and Spectrum
Sharing presenting their technology concepts and standardisation plans and
discuss regulatory implications. Several regulators will be present for feedback.
